The teenage years can be a very hard time for youths and parents. If I had a son I would try to convince him that it wasn’t the end of the world and he will meet someone who is right for him. I would also share with him about my very first relationships and that they always didn’t work out they way I wanted. Also I would acknowledge that yes it feels terrible and yes it hurts and it is normal to feel the way he does. To end I would reinforce my sons interest if he likes sports, video games, music or reading I would get him more engrossed in those activities while the healing process begins.
