Crowbar circuit is use for protecting the sensitive load from high voltages or faults. Crowbar circuit is also called as overvoltage protection circuit.
(1) A triggered, shunt device that diverts the stored energy of the beam power supply.
(2) Circuit used to protect the output of a source from a short circuited load. Load current is limited to a value the source can deliver without damage.
