Igbt alone cant convert dc to ac. igbt half bridge or full bridge or three phase topology could be used to convert dc to ac. also igbt gates should be driven by microcontroller or pwm/spwm gate driving signals. 

for full bridge conf. 

igbt 1 has three pins (+)c1  e1c2  and g1

igbt 2 has three pins  c2e1  e2(-)  and g2

igbt 3 has three pins (+)c3   e3c3 and g3

igbt 4 has three pins   c4e3  e4(-) and g4

c2e1 and c4e3 pins are AC output pins.
