Explanation:- • As shown in figure the combinational clipper is the combination of positive biased and negative biased clipper. The combinational clipper can be used to clip both two independent levels depending upon the bias voltages. • During the positive half cycle of input the diode D1 is forward biased while diode D2 is reverse biased. Therefore diode D1 conducts and will act as a short circuit ,while D2 acts as open circuit. Hence the value of output voltage cannot exceed the voltage level of VB1. • Similarly during the negative half cycle of input the diode D2 is forward biased while D1 is reverse biased. Therefore D2 conducts and act as a short circuit while D1 acts as open circuit. Hence the value of output voltage cannot exceed the voltage level of VB2.
