Home and office climatic equipment in practice is mainly represented by wall-mounted air conditioners or split systems. The variety of design of split-systems allows not only to successfully fit the device into the interior, but also to make it a decorative detail. The models of air conditioners are varied, differ in power and other characteristics, which makes the purchase of equipment a difficult task.
Wall-mounted air conditionersThe starting point when choosing climate control technology is to calculate the required power. This is the most important characteristic of any air conditioners, including Daikin air conditioners.... Exact calculations are done by specialists, but you can approximately estimate the required power yourself. Dividing the area of the room in square meters by 10, we get the approximate power in kilowatts. Glazing should be considered as additional factors. If the glazing area is significant or the windows face south, this significantly increases the flow of heat. In this case, it is worth adding 15-20% to the calculated power.
Next, it is worth deciding whether the system should be inverter. Inverter air conditioners have a module that controls the compressor capacity depending on the ambient conditions. This method of regulation is especially convenient for the changeable climate of the middle zone. Inverter models are usually quiet, consume little electricity, and the power reaches 130% of the nominal.
All the advantages of inverter split systems are expressed in a fairly high price for such products. Another item of expenses is service and warranty service. Replacing a compressor requires the simultaneous replacement of an expensive control module.
Finally, it is important to decide what noise level is acceptable when the air conditioner is operating. Absolutely silent air conditioners do not exist at the moment. An exception can be considered split systems, in which an external unit with a compressor is installed on the outer wall of the building, which allows reducing the noise level to almost zero. Many models are equipped with a "night mode" function to minimize operating noise. Among the reliable manufacturers of quiet inverter split systems are the famous Japanese brands Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba, General, Fujitsu and Panasonic.
