How to Filter Water
Drinking clean water is an important part of daily living. It helps keep us healthy and strong by ensuring that our water is clean. There are many pollutants out there affecting our water, and many water filtering systems in the market that are efficient and effective. However, if you want to use an all-natural water filtering system, you can do that too. Here’s how to make an all-natural water filter.

Materials
30 inches of flexible tubing
Clay pot around 34 inches tall
Clean gravel
Clean sand
Clean stones
Procedure
Put the clay pot on an elevated surface to make the water flow easier to drain into a clean container or receptacle.
Pierce one side of the clay pot just enough to let the flexible tubing in, so that it will be water tight once the tubing is inserted.
Make sure the tubing touches the bottom of the pot.
Look for two smooth, potato-sized stones and make sure they’re clean. Put them at the bottom of the clay pot with a gap between them to make water flow easier.
Put smaller smooth stones in between the two bigger ones. Make sure you put enough so that the next layer of finer stones (gravel) won’t fall through.
Get bean-sized gravel and put them a layer over the smaller stones. Put another layer of seed-sized layer over it. Each layer should be no thicker than four inches.
Layer sand on top of the gravel around five inches thick.
Start operating your filter. You can do this by slowly pouring clearly dirty water into the pot and waiting for it to go through the different layers.
Drill a hole in the bottom of the clay pot around the diameter of a nail. The clean water will come out of it. Be sure to have a receptacle for the water at the ready.
