Birds in your garden or within your abode are a very nice addition to your whole house’s overall look. In order for those twittering visitors to have a place to stay in your garden, try making them a birdhouse that can also double as an eco-friendly bird feeder.
Materials Needed
Chopsticks
Eco-friendly glue
String or wire
Step by Step Procedure
Step 1
Take three chopsticks and make a triangle with them. Attach the sticks to one another using glue.
Step 2
Keep layering the chopsticks on top. You will need to taper them in on the two sides. The third side will just be stacked as normal, since it will act as the floor of the house.
Step 3
Once you’ve finished stacking them, you should now have one half of the birdhouse. Make another in exactly the same way.
Step 4
Once you’re done with both halves, join them together. Use a string or wire and weave it through at the top.
Step 5
When you’re done, you can hang it on a tree or from a rafter on your house.
You can also make it into a bird feeder by changing the shape of the opening, accomplished mainly by changing the way you stack up the chopsticks. That way, you will have a bigger space into which you can put the feed in, as well as a bigger opening for birds to go through.
