Enhancement MOSFET:

There are two types of MOSFET one is enhancement MOSFET and second is depletion MOSFET. In enhancement MOSFET channel is created by applying threshold voltage between gate and source. The normal state of enhancement MOSFET is off state.

Enhancement MOSFET can only be operated in enhancement mode. The enhancement MOSFET will not conduct if the gate to source voltage is zero.
