Well it depends on what you mean by good. Malaysia has been consistently ranked in the top 10 lists of the best places to retire in the world, so that must account for something. Generally Malaysians do have a good life and can really count their blessings. There is good infrastructure in place across the country. The roads and highways are well built, towns and even small villages have electricity supply, WIFI access and speed are pretty good. The capital city of Kuala Lumpur is totally modern and cosmopolitan, yet a short drive out of the city will get you to the rural countryside with a relaxed pace. This is getting the best of both worlds. Venture a bit further north and you can escape to the charming city of George Town that was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2008. I could go on and on with a list of how great it can be to live in Malaysia, but just to sum it all up, Malaysia may not be in the ranks of the developed nations, but it has all the modern conveniences and will afford you with a peaceful second home at a fraction of what you need to live in the US or UK.
