: Finish cut means fine cut. When finishing cut, it is important to measure the surface smoothness and volume of the workpiece. High cutting speeds and fine feeds are used to remove minimal material from the workpiece during finish cutting. The lower the feed rate, the better the surface finish. Depth of cut 0.5 - 1.0 mm is used for finish cut.
