Answer : The Metropolitan Area Network or Man is made up of a combination of multiple local area networks or LANs. In this case the lanes are in the same city. Through such networks, various high speed networks can share their information. The difference between wide area network is that the speed is less in wide area network but we can get quite high speed in metropolitan area network. It can extend up to 50-60 miles. Different devices are connected directly to the network in the local area network , but each site is connected to the network in the metropolitan area network.
