Usually in the night cloudless sky small bright objects like stars are seen rushing towards the earth and these stars are called meteors. In fact, there are innumerable inanimate objects floating in our space. After entering the Earth's atmosphere, they come in contact with the air and ignite as a result of friction with the air. Most meteors burn to ashes as a result of friction in space or with air. The ones that come to earth are called meteorites.
