Electric eel can generate electricity in its body. That electric shock can injure or even kill you. Even crocodiles have been found to be severely injured. These are found all over the world. Especially in the Amazon and Central America of South America. This fish looks like the catfish of our country ; But large in size. But how does ilmach do such a difficult job as power generation ? Scientists say that the electric eel uses its body's special nervous system to generate electricity. The body of this fish has some disc-like cells to generate electricity. A special part of the body _ which is called the organ for generating electricity. The job of the nervous system is to make sure that these cells work in harmony . The nervous system signals when the body's power-generating organ will start working . Upon receiving this signal, the complex network of nerves confirms it. So that the thousands of cells that generate electricity become active together. Each cell has a negative charge of about 100 microvolts compared to the outer shell. After receiving signals from the nervous system , a very small amount of a chemical called acetylcholine is released from the nerves. This chemical acts as a neuro-transmitter. Then a very low level of electrical resistance is created in the body of the fish for a very short time. Then the cells connect to each other and act like a battery at once. And this is how electricity is created.
