answer:It’s not as straightforward as it might seem. I too have an iPod touch: I’ve mostly stayed away from the phone because I’m contracted to T-Mobile here in the UK and have no desire to move (I use their wifi package on my MacBook a lot, and they have the Starbucks hotspots – O2 partner with The Cloud which is nowhere near as useful to me). I’m also accustomed to 3G speeds on my mobile (which I still use for email and as a bluetooth modem in a pinch), and obviously the iPhone is using the slower EDGE network. For most people this won’t make a bit of difference, but if it does, it’s a deal-breaker. The recent software updates also put the iPhone and iPod touch on a much more level footing, and with access to Skype via IM+ for Skype, I’m currently loving the iPod.
