answer:You should be able to import your photos directly from your 400D into Aperture using the USB transfer cable that came with your camera. You may have to configure your Mac to always import images into Aperture by default, if its not doing so currently. When you attach the mini-usb to your camera and the USB cable to the computer and turn the camera on, the photos will begin to transfer immediately to your default application of choice. Good Luck! R
