Why are clean clothes scratchy, and air dried clothes scratchier and stiffer than those dried in the dryer?

answer:What exactly do you mean by “scratchy”? I think it has to do with wet clothes holding creases in the fabric together. When the clothes dry, the creases remain, making your clothes appear “stiff”. I’ve had this happen to me before.
