answer:In this particular case (the Q you linked), my bet is on the fact that all the one-lurve people participating found the Q via Google and signed up just to chime in on that question. I have seen this in numerous older questions over the years. For whatever reason, the noobs don’t usually stick around, so it’s like a ghost town of n00bs. In addition to that, there are spam ‘teams’, where one will sign up, ask a set-up question, then another account will come in with the spam link. Then, of course, we have the random spammers that find us via a Google search and post on a (semi-)related question. Then others that, I assume, find us through other means and spam indiscriminately on random Qs. Lastly, there are the elusive profile spammers, which create accounts but never participate in questions, they solely post their spam in their profiles.
