My experience with side-swept bangs, as someone whose hair won’t even hold teasing and copious hairspray (made being Bellatrix for Halloween difficult) much less a curl, is that it’s more of an issue of them being cut too long and the angle that they’re cut rather than the styling. If they are cut too long I’ll just get one or two pieces that hang down in front of my face, but if they’re short enough they can lay flat and naturally sweep to the side. I don’t even comb my hair every day much less blowdry it or use products.
