answer:Instagram isn’t a popularity contest, it’s a social site based on square images. Having a high number of followers means nothing if you have no clue who they are and do not interact with them. Start by finding people you know on there, and post really good or interesting photographs. Browse through hashtags that are topics you find interesting and interact with and follow people you find there. Usually, they’ll look at your content to see if they’re interested in following you, as well – so again I remind you that it’s all about the photos. If someone starts to follow me and I look at their profile and see no pictures I block them and might report them if their profile statement includes links; if they’re just reposting internet memes or taking attention-whore self portraits, I will not follow that person, and I might consider blocking them.
