Screen Resolution is not everything. In fact, Screen Resolution is a minor Component in what defines the Performance. The Differences between Console and PC Versions are: – Console Versions have low Resolution Textures, lowering Memory Requirements. – Console Versions have far less Objects on the Screen at any given Moment. – Console Versions have far less Particles in Particle Effects. – Console Versions have lower Quality/Resolution in Effects such as Ambient Occlusion, GI, and Shadows, as well as Shaders for Effects such as Water or Reflections. Sometimes, these Effects are missing altogether. – Often, Console Versions are rendered at a lower Resolution, and are then merely upscaled to the Screen Resolution (which results in a blurry Picture). – Often, too, the PC Versions of Games are just Console Versions Ported to PC, with substandard Optimisation, resulting in a significant Performance Impact.
