answer:Roses are always planted and grown outdoors (or in a large greenhouse or arboretum). Yours are in containesr that seem to be much too small for the root ball. You need to dig a large and deep hole, add enriched top soil mixed with dried manure or compost, plant the rose, fill the hole with water, add more soil and prune the roses back in order to let the roots establish themselves. You can google for more detailed instructions. Planting and initially establishing a rose is hard work but worth it. (I will spare you the issues with Japanese beetles and deer, who love the aromatic buds.) Roses require almost a full day of sun.
