There is something inherently troubling about a person going out with the plan of killing another human being. Car crashes are accidents. The shootings are a symptom, and in looking for their cause, the availability and celebration of guns can’t be ignored. I, for one, do argue that our use of cars should be severely restricted, for environmental reasons as well as our safety.
