I am not an artist; I am only an onlooker. Recently, I have come to appreciate watercolor. When I was younger, I was not much of a fan. Pencil also is incredible for realistic artwork. I have a friend who does unbelievable portraits and also animals; her work looks like photos. I guess some people don’t like that, but no matter what it is impossible to ignore her understanding of color and shadowing, just amazing. I was never much for impressionism, although I loved Degas as a girl, because I loved ballet I guess. I do like abstract, and my grandfather painted mostly abstract the last 20 years of his life. Two of my favorite well known artists are Kandinsky and Rothko. If you have never seen Red, the play about Rothko, I highly recommend it. Reminded me so much of my grandfather. He used to say so much of the same things that are said in the play. I’d like to take a class in glass fusion. Where I live people make such beautiful pieces. I want to make little things like small dishes and Chanukah menorahs. Gifty items.

Last Answer : Graphite, and surprise, computer. I draw on paper first, then scan the paper and do additional editing on computer. Computer can create special effects that normal medium can’t.
