(3) Western Ghats Explanation: In India, evergreen forests are found in the western slopes of the Western Ghats in slates such as Kerala and Karnataka. Tropical evergreen forests (or tropical rain forests) are usually found in areas receiving more than 2000 mm of rainfall and having a monthly mean temperature of 18°C or higher in the coldest months. The Western Ghats is one of the world's ten "Hottest biodiversity hotspots."
