Define "hypoallergenic". Different people have different views on that word. So I'll just share with you a bit of my experiences with westies. I'm quite allergic to most breeds of dogs, even some poodles. It gets really bad when I get an allergic reactions. But before I got my own westie, I played with several other westies and didn't have any allergic reactions. Just 10 months ago, I got my westie. Whilst his fur didn't cause me any allergic reactions at all, his saliva did, a little. But it only lasted for a week. After that I got used to it. Hope this helps! :)
