What are the stages of heart disease and when do they start?

1 Answer

Answer :

Heart disease starts with lesions and cracks that form in blood vessel walls. The second stage is a cholesterol which the body begins to deposit in these cracked stressed vessels in an attempt to repair the damage. With poor diet this cholesterol builds up and clogs the blood vessel causing heart attack or stroke. A low fat high fiber diet is the best preventative measure and you can never start too soon. Children who eat a heart healthy diet will grow up to be heart healthy adults. If you are older starting a heart healthy diet will still benefit you. Why not make it a point talk with your doctor about changes you can make in your diet to support your heart.
