If you are buying your tableware new, you can check with the retail location, or the manufacturer of the tableware being sold, and ask them about the lead in their tableware. If this is tableware that you currently own, take a look at the glazes or decorations that could be covering your tableware. This is where the most lead exposure comes from in tableware. If you do not know whether or not your tableware contains lead, it is recommended that you do not use this tableware in your everyday cooking or storage of your food.
