Why are metal good conductors?

1 Answer

Answer :

Metals are good conductors of both electricity and heat for thesame reason: their atoms have one or more electrons in theconduction band, which easily detach and move freely through thebulk of the metal forming an "electron gas". This "electron gas"flows easily, just like a normal gas.
