Sachet water is sold in every nook and cranny in my country. It is the most consumed form of water and I admit that they aren't all healthy. Some of these factories that produce them do not treat the water properly and this is usually the major cause of typhoid. Secondly, these sachets aren't eco-friendly. They are made of high density polyethylene, type 2 plastic which are non-biodegradables. Sachet water is the cheapest form of water in my country. Tap water is only available in more urban settlement and the chlorine content sometimes inhibits its consumption. Bottled water is sold at five times the price of sachet water but it is better as the plastics can be recycled.
