Hello, an acquaintance told me that he has a car that he bought for 15,000 CZK (old Renault) and that after the break-in (he drove a fool out of the side at the time and did not give preference) the insurance company paid him 20,000 CZK. Possible? That it would pay him more than his car cost? So what counts how much he gets? Like new parts?

Answer :

It is possible - the insurance company calculates the damage from some tables (the approach of individual insurance companies differs, so no one will write to you exactly). However (even the method of calculating the damage) is completely unrelated to the price agreed upon by the buyer and the seller.

Description : What temperature do car thermometres count?

Last Answer : answer:well on my 206 the thermometer is located on the wing mirror so I guess its depends on local effects eg parked car on a tarmac drive is of course going to give a hotter than true reading ... wing mirror away from engine heat etc so they should all give a reading of whats directly outside !?
