At what age does a toddler have to talk all the time? Isn't it a problem if my little boy is just saying words at the age of 17?

Oh that's still completely normal. The child only starts talking to someone when they are 2 years old. Anyway, boys have poorer speech skills than girls. For a long time, they just say words and then suddenly they start talking from one week to the next. You will soon notice how much you answer ... :)
