Answer :

The 1956 Olympics were held in Melbourne, Australia. Australia had very strict animal health rules at the time. According to these rules, horses should have been quarantined for a month before being boarded, which of course did not fit into an Olympic schedule. :) The solution was to hold the equestrian numbers in Stockholm, Sweden , 5 months before the Olympics in Melbourne . [img alt_text = 'olimpia-1956' description = ''] https:///wp-content/uploads/2017/01/olimpia-1956.jpg [/ img]
