What depends on my ability to run?

Today's trendy laptops are already running windows10 and can't be put on win7 or xp as it sends a message that it can't and won't stop. Anything can be mounted on an Intel motherboard)

Answer :

I haven't come across a new laptop that can't put Win7 on. There is usually a problem with the format of the partition, or if UEFI is configured in the bios and the xp or WIN7 installer is not UEFI. Then the bios need to be switched to legacy boot and you're good to go.
