Khaybar is an Iranian word , meaning fortress. European historians agree that the site is located eight miles or two hundred miles from Medina Munawwara , in the vast desert of Syria . Due to its location on the outskirts of Syria, the site has long been considered a Jewish center. As soon as they arrived here, they joined hands with different communities and hatched a conspiracy against the state of Medina. As a result, the historic battle of Khaybar took place.
