According to Article 1.39 of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) ITU Radio Regulations (RR), Satellite Wireless is a broadcasting satellite service. [1 ] ; And the service is primarily designed with motorists in mind. [2] [3] It is available through subscriptions , usually free of ads and allows members to listen to far more radio stations and different types of programs than on-ground radio stations. [4] Satellite radio technology was introduced at the Space Foundation Space Technology Hall of Frame in 2002. [5] The 2.3 GHz S -band wave of satellite radio used in North American digital audio broadcasting (DAB ) . Elsewhere in the world, the 1.4 GHz L-band is used to broadcast satellite radio via DAB. [6]
