Qibla is the direction in which Muslims have to face for prayers . Many religions have specific aspects of worship. For Muslims, the qibla is the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah , better known as the Kaaba. However, the interesting thing is that at first Kaaba Sharif was not Qibla. The first qibla was the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Sixteen months after the migration to Medina, the Qibla was changed according to the Qur'anic instructions and the present Qibla, i.e. Kaaba Sharif, was determined as the Qibla.
