How to Unwind
Work can be stressing most of the time. You have to accept this fact. No matter how much you love your job, there’ll be times when you feel like you’re not getting anything done. When you’re at this point, it’s about time that you take it easy and breathe for a while. Here are a few things you can do to unwind.

Tips:
Breathe. Deadlines and meetings aren’t meant to make your life miserable. When you’re tired trying to finish that lengthy report or preparing for a meeting, rest for a few minutes. Trying to finish your work when your stressed won’t give good results. Stand up and walk for a few minutes. Stretch and breathe a couple of times. Performing deep breathing exercises will help you calm your nerves and clear your mind.
Sleep. Having enough rest is the key to a good day. When you’ve had enough rest, you’ll have energy to accomplish your tasks. This will also make you less cranky at work. (read 12 Top tips to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer)

Smile. Don’t lose that smile even if you’re having a bad day. Smiling attracts positive vibes. You want to attract all the positive vibes you can get to cancel out those negative once, so smile a lot.
Exercise. The best way to release stress is to sweat it out. Have a work out routine and do this at least thrice a week. Running doesn’t only give physical benefits. It also clears your mind. Swimming is a refreshing way to work out. If you think you don’t have time for these, brisk walking for 15 - 30 minutes a couple of times a week is good enough.
Indulge. After a stressful day at work, eat your favorite ice cream or watch that movie you’ve been wanting to watch for the whole week. Call up your friends and have a nice dinner with them. Have a relaxing hot bath when you get home or get yourself an aromatic massage once a week. Doing this in moderation will put balance to your life. Don’t be a workaholic. Your job is not your life. It may pay for the bills yes, but that doesn’t mean being a slave of your work. Be your own boss. Know when to work and when to have fun. (Why not try relaxing on spas, for more info, see Spas)
Find a hobby. Learn something new. Engage in activities that relax you. If you want to learn how to paint, take up painting lessons on the weekends. Try not to bring your work home. A home should be a place where you can rest and spend time with your family. It’s not an extension of your office. Find an activity that you can do with your loved ones and nourish your relationship with them.
There’s no need to be stressed out with life. The main thing to remember is to balance your life. Work may take up most of your day, but it doesn’t have to pull you down. Chill. Relax and experience life like you’re supposed to.
