Snowboard shops don’t grow on trees. It would been nice if they did. Trees are universal—they’re everywhere except in the desert and underwater. However, snowboard shops, unfortunately, aren’t as widely spread out across the globe. Most snowboard shops have set up camp within ski resorts where snowboarders do their business. Outside the ski resorts, snowboard shops are few and hard to come by.
Here are some basic facts about snowboard maintenance:
Always clean the snowboard before storing it at the end of the snowboarding season. That’s the way to keep a snowboard in mint condition. Clean all grime and debris and anything that’s bound to accumulate on the snowboard whenever you use it.
Use a citrus cleaner to clean the snowboard. It keeps the surface of the snowboard smooth and in shiny condition until the next snowboarding season starts. Plus, it smells good, too. You can use other kinds of cleaners as long as they don’t do any damage on the surface.
After several months of storage, the snowboard is going to need a bit of waxing to prevent it from losing its sheen. You’ll need a scraper, iron and some wax for this one. Any iron will do, but irons especially made for waxing snowboards are also available in some snowboard shops.
So snowboard shops don’t grow on trees, but they can be easily found on the Internet. Online snowboard shops are the next best thing if one isn’t available where you live. You can browse and check out snowboarding gear with a mouse click or two. In some cases, you can also order and buy stuff directly from the Internet, and have it delivered to your address. That’s convenience you won’t find anywhere else.
