Empiricism is a knowledge theory. There are various theories in philosophy as to what is the source of human knowledge and what is the power and capacity of knowledge. Empiricalism in general refers to the theory that the human sense-experience is the only source of knowledge. But experience is a word widely used in philosophy. The use of experience is seen in both idealism and materialism. Types of Concepts: There are two types of empiricism. Prophetic empiricism and materialist empiricism. According to the theory of materialist empiricism, our eyes , ears , nose , tongue , skin - the senses are the carriers of the senses and the material world is the source of the senses. The sense experience is the root of knowledge. It is not possible to create any feeling outside the senses. According to the prophets, there is nothing beyond the mind. The mind is the only object of knowledge. In philosophy, empiricism refers to certain theories of knowledge where the role of experience is considered as the main factor in the formation of ideology or maqbada. Instinctive ideals are not given much importance in this doctrine.
