What is Infrared ?

1 Answer

Answer :

Infrared is a type of electromagnetic wave whose frequency range is terahertz ( THz) . Infrared is used in data communication between very close devices. This technology has transmitters and receivers at both ends. Signal transmitting is done via LED (Light Emitting Diode) or ILD (Interjection Laser Diode) and the photo diode receives the signal. The disadvantage of an infrared signal is that it cannot penetrate the walls or hard objects of the house and reach the other end.
