Dhani Pona refers to fry up to 1.5-2 cm in size from the next stage of pollen pona. This pona is called dhani pona as it is about the size of paddy. Generally, in the case of Rui national fish, 4-5 days old pollen fry turn into rice fry within 10-12 days if properly reared. These larvae hatch at 15 to 16 days of age.
