Amoeba cell division is amitosis cell division. Amitosis cell division is called direct cell division. This is because in amytosis cell division, the nucleus takes the shape of a dumbbell and shrinks almost along the middle and separates from each other to form two offspring nuclei. At the same time, the cytoplasm also shrinks along the middle and turns into two cells. In such a division, the nucleus and cytoplasm of the mother cell are directly divided into two offspring cells , hence it is called direct cell division.
