Motilal Nehu report and Karachi Session shaped the indian constitution with the following features : 1.Universal Adult Franchise. The universal Adult Franchise refers that all citizens who are 18 years and above irrespective of their caste or education, religion, colour, race and economic conditions are free to vote. 2.Right to Freedom and Equality The right to equality includes equality before the law, the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity and/or place of birth, equality of opportunity in matters of employment, the abolition of untouchability and abolition of titles. 3.Protecting rights of minority. Articles 14,15,28,29 and 30 of the constitution have protected the intrests of the minority communities in India. ARTICLE 14 provides equality before law and equal protection which provide protection against discrimination irrespective of religion or caste.
