Last Answer : answer:Well, down here in the Lower 48, people like it because they don't like it being light out at 4:30 in the morning in the summer. And, they don't need to turn the lights on until 8 or 8:30 ... still dark out. A compromise might be year round ½ hour of DST. But why do you think it isn't needed?

Last Answer : answer:Not sure about this, but it may be because some are sovereign states. Meaning they are independent from some Federal Laws.

Last Answer : yeah, I really don’t see the purpose of daylight savings. However, I’m very happy that it only lasts 4 months now. More daylight in a day is good thing for me!
