Description : Have you ever gone dumpster diving?

Last Answer : Oh hell yeah! It's mind boggling the perfectly good things that people throw out. I used to work next door to a furniture store. They'd throw brand new mattresses, literally still wrapped in ... the same thing. They're letting their imagination run away with them instead of looking at the reality.

Description : Why do people worry so much about germs any more?

Last Answer : I think @Dutchess_III just got moved off the food committee for the next Fluther picnic. There have been some pretty horrific bacterial outbreaks, so people react with caution. But a little commonsense ... being said, once something falls onto dirt, it really shouldn't be eaten unless washed off.

Description : What places or things do you think are a treasure trove of germs?

Last Answer : Escalator handles.

Description : What happened to this commercial?

Last Answer : To be honest I don’t know what happened to it, perhaps it wasn’t getting much viewership.

Description : How can I politely decline shaking hands with people so I can avoid contacting their germs?

Last Answer : Pretend you have the flu yourself and don’t want to infect them.

Description : How come we didn't die from penny candy and other things?

Last Answer : What are some other things you mention? My mom tells me about some crazy toys she and my uncle used to play with. Like Jarts for example. They used to just throw them at each other, forget about ... she used to chase him around the house with a kitchen knife, and he shot her with BBs on purpose.

Description : Do you still, or have you ever licked an envelope?

Last Answer : I find the taste of it to be disgusting. I make my husband do all the licking. pun sort of intended ;) But, he bought these envelopes that have tape on them, that I remove and it's already sticky ... . I'm a semi germ freak, and the germ factor when it comes to envelopes never even crossed my mind.

Description : When a person's sick, is your risk to their germs greater by exposure to their sweat/touching things or by their saliva/sneezing & coughing?

Last Answer : Saliva, mucous, all of that poses the greatest danger. Wet stuff. It can get on anything. They are still contagious usually when they start showing symptoms.

Description : Doughnut shop tissue?

Last Answer : answer:So you can eat it without the glaze getting on your hands? That is what I use them for. And I'm sure they don't want the sticky stuff on their hands either. I wouldn't ascribe their use ... tissue to germs. I have worked with food and we never wore gloves when we touched food. (except meat)
