Description : Do the Roomba vacuum cleaners really work?

Last Answer : Yes! I have a Roomba, and I love it. It works very well on rugs and carpet, but it excels on bare floors. For hardwood and tiles, Roomba does a much better job than my canister vacuum cleaner ... such as putting window blind cords out of reach, before I use Roomba, and that wouldn't happen remotely.

Last Answer : We have a Roomba. It’s okay, but that’s all. We have timber floors and it doesn’t do a great job of picking up dog hair. Our ordinary vac works better.

Description : If you vacuum up a fruit fly is it dead?

Last Answer : Right after you vacuumed the flies, suck up a banana. With some luck it will close off the hose…, you happy and the flies the ones that possibly survived happy. I don’t know if it is lethal for the flies, their trip through the hose.

Description : Where can I get a nice vacuum cleaner on the cheap? And which should I get?

Last Answer : Electrolux vacuum cleaners are great--and last forever. If you can find a used one, and it still has good suction, you can probably get years of continued good use from it. I saw one last year at a garage sale for $10. I have one that is 38 years old--and still working just fine.
