answer:first you need to know what DHCP is all about, the big word is “Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol” if i remember correctly, anyway, that’s not important, the thing is, every computer connected to your router needs an IP adress, consider it a house number, you can give your computer his own adress by hand, or let DHCP give those numbers, it’s designed for larger networks, but your little home network is great for it too you have an airport right? don’t the come automaticly configured with DHCP on? just leave it that way
