answer:Absolutely.. It is free and easy.. It might take a few hours to see a judge. A few years ago I got one against a roommate. This is how it went for me.. (I live in Oregon, your state might be different) 1. Go to the courthouse early in the morning. 2. Fill out some paperwork. (They want details) 3. Wait to see a Judge. (this took some time) 4. A very informal meeting with a Judge (They want details… I had to give three examples of that person threatening bodily harm against me) Anything really goes. They will accept someone spitting on you. Or threatening to spit on you. 5. If the Judge grants the order a sheriff will deliver the restraining order later that day. (the one I had issued was delivered at around 2am) Edit :: I would like to add that you should be careful. The guy seems whacked out and probably won’t really care that you have a restraining order against him. He might find someone else in a few months to go crazy on and forget about you.
