answer:You can use one system to sync contacts/iCal/email, and another just for media; the limitation is that you can only sync media (music, movies, photos) from one computer system. This is the case at least for iTunes music library and music synching. I use my laptop for the same contact/outlook/entourage purposes, and iCal/entourage/outlook for calendaring and scheduling/tasks/to-do’s, on the laptop I open iTunes and when connecting the iPhone, only checking the items on the first tab (the info tab) that contains contacts, calendars, and mailboxes, and un-checking the boxes for all the other tabs (music, videos, photos, ringtones, podcasts, etc), then sync by clicking the apply button. Then on the server-system you simply do the opposite, syncing all your music (playlists), photos, movies, etc. on that system, and un-checking all the boxes on the info tab. I know this works because this is how I manage my media and info from separate computers. Hope this helps.
