Have you ever taken Colestid?

1 Answer

Answer :

Can’t say I’ve taken it but this is a handy summary of it. Colestid is used to treat IBS and to lower serum cholesterol by binding to excess bile in the intestine. Personally, I have had bad experiences with all statins I have tried. Zocor and it’s ilk resulted in muscle pain, Vytorin (Zocor and Zetia combined) did, too, and Zetia alone caused terrible diarrhea. However, some people never experience any problems regardless of which anti-cholesterol drug they take. I also have IBS but have never been prescribed Colestid for it.
